Veejay 1.2pre1
After some inactivity time, there is finally veejay 1.2pre1 Most (if not all) issues that have been reported here in the last few months have been resolved; most notably the video streaming bug in the Multi Tracker and the previewing problems with Reloaded on multi-core systems. Some testing is needed, however, so it’s “pre1″ for now…
Packages
All in one tarball
(this includes the server, reloaded, the clients and an updated themepack)
Download: veejay-1.2.tar.bz2

A bug was found in the release made on 31/5/08. We decided not to bump the version release, so the package has been updated on 01/06/08.
Contained in this package:
- veejay-server
- AKA ‘veejay’. the core program, without this no veejay.
- veejay-client
- AKA ‘Reloaded’, a graphical interface for veejay.
- veejay-themes
- The veejay themepack, we’ve added some themes in this release.
- veejay-utils
- utilities, such as sayVIMS and any2yuv (convert anything to video…).
- gtkcairo-0.3
- You need gtkcairo to compile reloaded, for now.
For compilation info, checout the documentation here
Older releases
The 1.0 download page can still be reached here. An archive of historical releases is kept on http://sourceforge.net/projects/veejay, together with some sample material and releases for the pure-data external.
Binary packages
The veejay team is still looking for a volunteer willing to maintain binary packages. The most urgent need seems to be from Ubuntu 7 and 8 users. If you have succesfull compiled veejay on your platform, and you are willing to provide some assistance to new users trough our google-groups, use checkinstall to create a .deb package and send it to us. We will put it on this page and you will enter the eternal hall of fame
Happy veejay-ing!
